Mobile Deposit saves you valuable time; no making a trip to the office or sending checks through the mail. A convenient, secure process available for a small service charge of $0.50 per check. Similar to the price of a stamp.

To begin, simply have a checking or savings account with us, an Online Banking user id, and download our Mobile Banking app by searching Red Wing Credit Union Mobile Banking from your device's app store. Then login and select Deposits. Step-by-step procedures are provided to complete the deposit.

How do I get started?
To use Mobile Deposit, you need a Red Wing CU checking or savings account, Online Banking and our mobile app installed on your mobile phone or tablet.

What are the fees for Mobile Deposit?
A small service charge of $0.50 per each check deposited. It's faster than regular mail and less expensive than a trip to the credit union.

How do I make a Mobile Deposit?

  • Select Deposits from the menu.
  • Select New Deposit.
  • Choose the account to deposit funds.
  • Enter the deposit amount of the check.
  • Select Continue.
  • Take a picture of the front and back of the check and submit. Make sure the check is endorsed with your name and the words "For Mobile Deposit Only" below.

Do I need to endorse the back of my check?
Yes, please endorse the back and write "For Mobile Deposit Only". If you forget to endorse your check with the proper verbiage your check maybe rejected.

When will my deposit be credited to my account?
In general Mobile Deposits received by 3:30 pm CST on a business day will be granted provisional credit the same evening. Mobile Deposits received on Saturdays, Sundays, federal holidays or received after 3:30 pm CST will be granted provisional credit the evening of the next business day. All deposits are subject to Red Wing Credit Union's Remote Deposit Capture Agreement and Funds Availability Agreement.

Why am I unable to deposit my check?

  • Image of the check is too dark or check is mutilated, folded or torn.
  • Amount entered does not match the amount read by the scanning software.
  • Routing and account numbers are unclear.
  • Check has previously been deposited.
